This place is the best Chinese buffet I’ve been to in Baton Rouge. The food was very fresh and with great flavor. Everything was very well taken care of and clean, including the restrooms. Whenever I’m craving Chinese. I will definitely be coming here. Great job!
This place doesn't have a giant variety, but everything is delicious, and they have a very nice amount of sushi. This place also has the best crab Rangoon I have had in a long time. It is Probably in the top 3 Crab Rangoon I have had in my life. It is definitely the best I have had in the greater baton rouge area. This place also has a discount if you pay with cash instead of credit/debit card. *** This place also has a punch card, so after you fill your card, you get a complimentary buffet. *** The staff is very friendly. The food is always pretty fresh, and tastes great.
Me and my wife simply love this place ! We try to go at least once a week. When I saw the previous comments I was confused because for one this place is alwayspristine clean, and the waiters and the family that owns it are very friendly people. Even their bathrooms are always kept very clean. This place has been around for 15 years ! Their food is really good, I mean for 10 dollars a person you can't beat the selection. Their Sushi selection has quite a few varieties as well, and their salt and peper fried shrimp is YUM YUM. And recently they have been offering eat 9 meals and get 10th free, that is so awasome. I'd like to thank them for their diligence and good food. We will be coming for many years as a family.

They have a great buffet that is so delicious and tasty! The waitresses are top notch and the smaller quaint atmosphere gives this place it's local charm!
I always love to go here if I'm in this area. The sushi is fresh, the string beans are fresh and very delicious 😋 All of their food is very very good and fresh. The staff is very nice! If you like Chinese and looking for a small buffet with good food, go to the Oriental Pearl! I don't think you'll be disappointed... Enjoy!!!
Very good food…. Some say the buffet is small and it is on the smaller size but it does have the most popular food selections. I would definitely come back 💜💛
We got there about 4PM. The ladies working were friendly. We had their buffet which had a good selection of dishes. The service was great and the food was fresh. The sushi also tasted freshly made and was going quick as they put it out. I recommend it if you are in the area.
Recently oriental pearl on Sherwood has been consistently better than Hunan, which is across the street. The best time is always after the first wave of diners have devoured the first batch of food, and the food is then replenished. I don't know if they are called vermicelli noodles, but the white noodles were excellent. The sesame chicken was very good. The chicken on a stick was very good. The dim sum or pot stickers were good and had a pineapple soy dipping sauce to accompany it. The hot and sour soup was good. The garlic shrimp were excellent. The beef as well as chicken dishes were good. The salt and pepper shrimp were good. The fried rice was a C. It could have used a little something. The presentation and freshness was there but it was missing that aromatic vibe that classic fried rice usually has. I don't like mayo sauce on my sushi, so I did not try any. I consistently go to this location. The service is always great. The owner is always friendly, and the whole crew works hard. I will go back. Check them out when you are in the area.
